Chuka University Alumni Association History

Since the first Chuka University graduation ceremony to date, Chuka university alumni association has been carrying its activities. The Alumni Association was registered  with the Registrar of Societies under the societies rules, 1968,  Rule no. 4 in 29th October 2018 and it has been carrying out its activities since then.

Our Mission

To unite and promote the interests of the esteemed members and deliberately support the development and leadership of Chuka University by mobilizing requisite resources to achieve excellence in education, training, research and extension for sustainable national and global advancement.

Objectives

  1. Establish and maintain a mutually beneficial relationship between Chuka University and its Alumni.
  2. Develop Alumni programs that promote effective networks among members and industrial networking opportunities for career advancement.
  3. Support the University in the growth and development of its socio-cultural and co-curricular activities.
  4. Authorize, promote and assist in the formation of local and international chapters.
  5. Engage in resource mobilization activities to assist the University.
  6. Assist the University to initiate and organize an achievers award scheme

  2.   Provide programs and services that develop professional and personal skills of members of the  Association.
  3. Promote membership subscription and growth of the Association.
  4. Create an endowment fund to cater for bursaries, scholarships and fellowships for current students and the Alumni.
  5. Make plausible and tangible recommendations to Chuka University Management and Council for promotion of the welfare and image of the University at large.
  6. Promote welfare of alumni members.
